Long-term care insurance

Make the paperwork feel lighter.

Many long-term care insurance policies may reimburse qualifying home care expenses, but every policy works differently. Olive Branch helps families organize the service records and claim documentation connected to our care.

How we can help

Support around the claim process.

We cannot promise coverage or interpret your policy as the carrier, but we can help keep the documentation related to Olive Branch services organized and easier to submit.

1

Review what the carrier is asking for

We help identify the service records, invoices, plans, or forms your carrier has requested from the home care provider.

2

Organize care documentation

We can assist with available invoices, service records, plans of care, and other documentation connected to Olive Branch services.

3

Support submission

We help families keep claim documentation organized and moving through the submission process while the carrier makes the benefit decision.

Before you call the carrier

Have these details nearby.

A short policy review with your carrier can answer questions that no home care agency should guess about.

Ask your carrier

  • Has the policy been activated for benefits?
  • Is there an elimination or waiting period?
  • Are nonmedical home care or companion services eligible?
  • Is reimbursement paid to the insured or directly to a provider?
  • Are there daily, weekly, or monthly benefit limits?
  • What documentation must be submitted and how often?

Have ready

  • Policy number and carrier contact information
  • Name of the insured person
  • Current benefit status
  • Any claim forms already provided by the carrier
  • Requested service schedule
  • Carrier instructions for invoices or provider records
Common questions

What families usually want to know.

Policies vary widely, so these answers explain Olive Branch’s role rather than promising what a specific policy will cover.

Does Olive Branch accept long-term care insurance?

Olive Branch is a private-pay provider. Families may use applicable long-term care insurance benefits to seek reimbursement when their policy allows it. We work with many carriers and help with available claim documentation.

Do you bill Medicare or Medicaid?

No. Olive Branch companion-care services are private pay and are not billed to Medicare or Medicaid.

Can you tell me whether my policy will pay?

No home care provider should promise that without the carrier’s confirmation. Your insurer determines eligibility, covered services, benefit triggers, limits, and reimbursement.

What if my carrier needs a plan of care or invoices?

Tell our team what the carrier requested. We can provide or help organize available documentation associated with Olive Branch services.

What is an elimination period?

Some policies require a waiting period or a certain number of eligible service days before benefits begin. Your carrier can explain exactly how your policy calculates it.

Can care begin while a claim is pending?

Because Olive Branch is private pay, families remain responsible for payment according to the service agreement while any insurance reimbursement is pending, unless a different written arrangement has been confirmed.

Have a policy and not sure what comes next?

Bring the carrier’s questions, forms, or documentation request to the conversation. We will help you understand what Olive Branch can provide.
