A real break, with someone you trust.
Caring for someone you love is a full-time job on top of everything else. Respite care gives the family caregiver dependable time off, while your loved one is in good, familiar hands.
Love is not an unlimited care plan.
Needing a break does not mean anyone has failed. It is how families keep going.
Spouses
Time to sleep, see your own doctor, or simply be a husband or wife again for a few hours.

Breathing room for work, kids and your own life, without worrying about home.
Families sharing care
A steady person who fills the gaps when siblings and schedules do not line up.
Everything keeps its rhythm.
Your loved one keeps their routine and has good company. The caregiver follows your notes and the way your home already works.

About respite care.
Short answers to the questions we hear most.
How much respite care can I schedule?
As little or as much as helps: a few hours a week, a regular day off, or several days while you travel. We plan it around your needs.
Will it be the same caregiver each time?
We aim for consistency. Familiar faces matter, especially for someone living with memory changes.
Can respite care cover a trip or a weekend away?
Yes. For multi-day stretches, live-in care or caregivers working in shifts can cover the time you are away.
Does long-term care insurance pay for respite?
Some long-term care insurance policies include respite or home care benefits. Every policy is different, so check yours. We can help organize the paperwork connected to our care.
Is respite care medical?
No. Olive Branch provides nonmedical support. If medical care is needed, we will help you coordinate with the right provider.
